La Bastille Ugni Blanc/Colombard 2013

Description

This is an easy drinking white wine. Blend of Ugni Blanc and Colombard from the region of Languedoc in France.Very much like a Cotes de Gascogne. Aromatic, citrus and slightly floral on the nose. Excellent mouthfeel, juicy with pear fruit and added citrus and well balanced acidity.

Description

Pale yellow with a golden tint. The highly expressive nose opens on intense pink grapefruit notes mingled with the delicate, box-like floral aromas typical of a Pays D’Oc Sauvignon. The attack is supple and powerful. The fruit driven mid-palate strikes a fine balance between citrus freshness and the softness of white peach, building to an attractively long and flavoursome finish.

The nose is fruity, slightly floral with green fruits and underlying citrus and lime. Touch of boiled sweets, pear drops on the mid weight palate but well balanced with juicy, citrus acidity. Great with seafood.

Description

A crystalline pale yellow. The highly intense nose reveals delicate aromas of white blossom such as acacia and hawthorn, perfectly mingled with refinement of citrus zest. The full, rich almost creamy attack reveals the succulence of apricot and pear, accompanied by notes of honey and toast on the mid-palate and building to a long, fruit driven finish. Food Pairing: Baron Philippe de Rothschild Viognier 2012 works well with fresh goat’s cheese, deserts.
